Starting the week with a visit to the new Ferm Living store and showroom sounds pretty perfect to me.
Probably one of the most eagerly anticipated launches of the year, and after months of hard work, Copenhagen’s latest must-visit shopping destination is now open, and I for one am beyond excited.
Nestled between picturesque canals, quirky houseboats and the freetown of Christiania, the freshly renovated 18th-century building, with its exposed staircase and original wooden beams, was once upon a time the Danish Defence Command.
Now its upper floors are home to the brand’s operational and creative staff, while on the ground floor Nordic design lovers can happily shop the entire Ferm Living collection, as well as a carefully curated selection of vintage pieces, plants, and coffee table books.
Ferm Living takes visitors on an inspiring journey through every room of the home, there’s a working kitchen, bathroom with shower and even a seated living area with a dramatic fireplace. Thankfully for me there’s also a super cute kids’ room to explore too.
This is a thrilling milestone for Ferm Living. It has always been a dream and a goal for us to have a space in which we can welcome the public into our Ferm Living universe. To be able to do that in such a beautiful, historic location in the heart of our beloved hometown is very exciting for us.
