Another week and another exciting launch. This time it was Audo Copenhagen who unveiled their new collection, and as a brand I love, and I know many of you do too, it immediately caught my eye.
A celebration of lasting design and contemporary creations from some of my all-time favourite Nordic designers, every addition effortlessly blends form with function.
Firstly, I was particularly excited to see the introduction of more metallic finishes. Simple yet sophisticated, the Androgyne Side Table in brushed stainless steel by Norwegian architect Danielle Siggerud, will make the perfect pairing if your home is filled with warm wood finishes and soft textiles.
Alongside this, Australian industrial designer Ted Synnott, presents the Volume Side Table. Packed with personality, and suitable for inside and outdoor use, this polished aluminium piece is for all those wanting to make more of a striking style statement, with its softly curved lines adding a warm touch to its otherwise cool, hard surface.
Chrome also made an appearance when it came to the new Co Table designed by the always inspirational Norm Architects. Seamlessly complementing their Co Chair, this beautiful piece of furniture is available in two sizes and two colour options; a black powder-coated frame with ‘Volcanic Black’ laminate, or the mentioned chrome with a ‘Crème’ laminate and solid oak trim.
Another super stylish home office solution is the Corbel Wall Desk by Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen. This flexible, space-saving piece takes its name and design cues from architectural weight-bearing brackets traditionally made from stone or wood. Set a small distance from the wall, for neat cord management, its solid wood edges and smooth surface ensures it provides both a practical and professional workspace.
The final piece I just have to mention is another by this super talented Copenhagen-based design duo, the Passage Pouf. As an exclusive sister product to the existing Passage collection, this elegant pouf, crafted from walnut or FSC-certified solid oak, is my favourite by far. The upholstered seat cushion is also customisable in a wide range of fabric options too, ensuring this stylish investment will be one you cherish for many years to come.
