After a much-needed half-term break, I’m super excited about sharing with you over the next few weeks, the products, projects, and places that are inspiring me this summer. First up, is a beautiful new collection of furniture and rugs from Layered, which have been created in collaboration with one of Scandinavia’s best known stylists and interior designers, Lotta Agaton.
The first of its kind, for both the Swedish based brand as well as the designer herself, the Lotta Agaton Collection includes a cosy low sofa and love seat, a padded bench, and a selection of wool and jute rugs.
These elegant, yet comfortable pieces, provided Lotta with the perfect opportunity to design a collection tailored around the items she has always found hard to source over her twenty-year career creating spaces and homes for commercial as well as private clients.
Referencing her instantly recognisable pared back aesthetic, and neutral colour palette of white, beige and grey, throughout Lotta always had her own family and how they use their own home in mind, influencing every detail from the shape of the cushions, the support of the back rest, through to how the wool would feel when walked on in bare feet.
With Layered’s long held focus on good-quality, well-made pieces, all produced in a responsible and sustainable way, this exciting new collaboration is a match made in interior design heaven, and with their timeless good looks I’m sure these pieces will be lived with, and most importantly loved, for a very long time.
The Lotta Agaton collection launches in June 2021, to find out more visit the Layered website.
