When it comes to interiors, the seventies are well and truly back. But don’t panic, the new minimalist kitchen by Nordiska Kök is a Nordic take on the nostalgic trend.
For their latest collection, the Gothenburg-based kitchen brand have collaborated with fellow Swede, interior stylist and set designer Caroline Sandström.
Known for mixing monochromatic minimalism with modern details, Caroline’s projects may appear simple at first, but are always filled with elements of surprise.
Designed initially for her own home, but available in any colour as part of Nordiska Kök’s regular range from this month, this kitchen is a contemporary, yet timeless collection packed with personality and elegance.
With its softly rounded linear cabinets, expertly hidden appliances, and dramatic marble countertops, it creates an exciting and eccentric contrast: one that seamlessly combines the timeless Scandinavian expression Nordiska Kök are renowned for with the warmer, relaxed feeling of the much-loved bygone era.
With every Nordiska Kök kitchen built entirely from scratch and carefully customised to last a lifetime, just like the rest of Caroline’s family apartment it’s filled with smart detailing. Each component is there for a reason resulting in a cohesive look that blends smoothly with its surroundings.
