Even though I’m currently on holiday in Berlin, I couldn’t resist seeking out some Scandinavian design inspiration.
Furniture brand Bolia may not have any dedicated stores in the UK at the moment, but that didn’t stop me popping into Bolia Berlin Mitte, to take a closer look at their very special autumn-winter collection.
Crafted details
Two years in the making, the ‘2020’ Collection focuses on a strong attention to craftsmanship and natural sustainable materials.
From the organic shapes of the Peyote dining table and Dune bench, the playful Island coffee table or the Caisa modular sofa with its elegant, simple silhouette, every piece of furniture fuses the unmistakable heritage of Danish design with a creatively modern style.
Built to last
As well as designing beautiful products that are built to last, this collection also symbolises Bolia’s wider efforts to reduce their impact on the environment.
With a design team that consists of more than 30 talented international designers, all with their own interpretation of Scandinavian design, Bolia’s furniture is handmade in Europe by the finest manufacturers.
Dyes are eco-friendly and the fabrics used are made from recycled polyester, organic cotton and are OEKO-TEX certified. All the woods used are FSC certified, all leathers are traceable and all rugs are labelled with the Care and Fair-mark.
Honest and timeless
As Bolia celebrates 19 years of great design, concept and creativity, if you’re looking to add honest and timeless pieces to your home then this nature-focussed collection could be just what you’re looking for.
