Thanks to Denmark’s annual 3 Days of Design event I’ve never wanted to be in Copenhagen more than I have this week.
With showrooms, studios and venues throughout the city showcasing the latest launches and trends, it truly is the perfect place to discover something new and inspiring from the world of interior design.
Plus in true democratic Danish style, every event is open to the general public, not just invited industry press, renowned lifestyle bloggers or commercial buyers.
This year, one of the highlights for me has to be the launch of a special series by design brand, Ferm Living.
Heartfelt love
Demonstrating their heartfelt love for the place they call home, the Copenhagen Collection consists of a beautifully embroidered cushion and tote bag.
Paying homage to my, as well as their own favourite city, each piece is covered in rich illustrations. Personally hand picked by Founder and Creative Director, Trine Andersen, each depicts the Danish capital’s most iconic landmarks, distinctive neighbourhoods and spectacular sights.
Tactile feel
Both products are made from canvas with the embroidery completed by hand using a special knotted technique, which also gives the pieces a lovely tactile feel too.
The cushion has an off-white canvas front with a contrasting plain warm cinnamon back, matching piping, and a zip fastening. Meanwhile the Tote Bag is made from an off-white canvas with cotton, webbing handles.
A magical city
Ferm Living continually work with designers and craftspeople from around the world to uniquely blend their Scandinavian approach and distinctive aesthetic with global skills and traditions. With the Copenhagen Collection, they beautifully capture the culture, atmosphere and history of a magical city which will forever hold a special place in many people’s hearts.
Both items are available now, to find out more list the Ferm Living website.
