(Advertisement – this post is a collaboration with Gestalten but, as always, words and opinions are my own)
Regular readers of this blog will know by now that Danish design studio Norm Architects never fails to inspire me, and when I heard that they were teaming up with one of my favourite publishers, Gestalten to release their first self-curated book I just had to share details with you.
Titled ‘Soft Minimal: A Sensory Approach to Architecture and Design’, this beautiful and insightful three-hundred-page coffee table book is packed full of the stunning projects that have established Norm Architects as leading figures in Nordic design.
Over the last fifteen years their striking residential and commercial work, sited throughout Europe, Japan, and the UK, as well as their much-coveted furniture, lighting and home accessories, produced in collaboration with leading brands, have won them a devoted following from industry professionals to passionate interior design enthusiasts alike.
Spread across eight incredible sections, Soft Minimal showcases the modernist traditions, style principles and natural materials Norm Architects are instinctively known for. Celebrating their unique human-centric philosophy that is simple and warm, as well as functional, personal, and multi-sensory.
When the spaces in which we inhabit, and the objects we live with, influence the way we feel, think, and behave more than ever before, this book is the perfect read for anyone who is looking to create a home that isn’t led by trends, but one that forms the framework of their entire life story.
Soft Minimal by Norm Architects: A Sensory Approach to Architecture and Design is on sale now priced £55 and is published by Gestalten.
