What better way to start a new week than with a look around another new Copenhagen showroom, the recently launched, ‘Vipp Home’.
Perfectly located next to one of my favourite destinations in the centre of the city, as well as the country’s oldest and most visited park, The King’s Garden, this incredible flagship store has been transformed in recent months into a ‘home-away-from-home’.
As a brand, Vipp really need no introduction. Little could Holger Nielsen have known when he made the first iconic pedal bin for his wife’s hair salon 80 years ago, that the beautiful, yet functional everyday products that he and his family-owned company would go on to design and produce would grace homes, offices and hotels, not just in his native Denmark, but across the world.
Celebrating and showcasing Vipp’s full product range, Vipp Home invites visitors to explore a carefully curated series of rooms.
From an intimate living room, which provides the perfect setting for the brands growing collection of sleek and understated furniture, a kitchen space for cooking and conversation, complete with an iconic large Vipp kitchen island, and behind a customised, olive green steel door there is also a bathroom fully wrapped in glacier blue granite fully furnished with Vipp bathroom products.
“Going from offering just accessories, today Vipp’s portfolio extends from a bin to a sofa and from a hook to a kitchen. The redesigning of the Vipp store reflects and embraces this transformation and span.”
Kasper Egelund, CEO and Owner
With personal artworks, textiles and ceramics collected by the family during their journey featured alongside the products, this showroom truly captures a feeling of home.
Vipp Home can be found at NY Ostergade 34, 1101 Copenhagen. The showroom is open Monday – Friday 11-18, and Saturday 11-16.
