Bringing joy with VIVA Scandinavia

11th February 2019

If you’re a regular reader of Nordic Notes you’ll know by now that I’m a huge believer in the Danish philosophy of bringing joy to the everyday.

During my recent chat with Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen, he told me that a staggering 86% of Danes associate hot drinks with hygge. They even beat candles and Christmas into the top spot!

Yet while the Danish beverage of choice may be coffee, (they are the world’s fourth biggest coffee drinkers after all), us Brits traditionally turn to a cup of tea for comfort.

Thankfully we can all enjoy our Spicy Chai, traditional Earl Grey or fruit infusion in Danish style thanks to VIVA Scandinavia, a brand I discovered on my trip to the Top Drawer trade show.

Form following function

From their design studios in Copenhagen every VIVA Scandinavia product, whether it’s a teapot, cup, mug or tray, is carefully hand-made by skilled craftsman.

Adhering to the Nordic design principle of form following function, VIVA Scandinavia also use the highest quality glass, cork, silicone and porcelain, creating a look that’s effortlessly cool as well as timelessly beautiful. The whole range is available in the muted colours and minimal finishes I personally love.

Using innovative filters, double-wall insulation and non-drip pouring mechanisms they also incorporate the latest brewing technology to ensure your cuppa is more enjoyable and tasteful than ever.

VIVA Scandinavia kindly gifted my Nina™ Tea Set, but all words and opinions are my own.

Exciting news!

I’ve teamed up with VIVA Scandinavia to create an Instagram competition. One lucky Nordic Notes follower will win a Nina™ Tea Set & Milk and Sugar in the colour of their choice worth £62.

To enter: Just follow Nordic Notes and VIVA Scandinavia on Instagram, like the competition photo, and leave a comment tagging a friend who may be interested. You can tag as many people as you like, and each tag counts as one entry.

Disclaimer: The giveaway is open to those in the UK only and ends at midnight GMT on Tuesday 19th February. The winner will be announced on my Instagram account afterwards. Good luck!

Please note this competition is in no way associated with or endorsed by Instagram.
