A Nordic bookworm

6th October 2017

At this time of year, as the evenings get longer and the central heating goes on, nothing beats a night curled up on the sofa with a good book.

With having a two year old in the house this unfortunately doesn’t happen often enough, but when I do finally get to put my feet up, I usually pick up my latest Nordic themed read.

Our Copenhagen home away from home

3rd September 2017

I’ve already written about our recent return to Copenhagen, but I had to dedicate a post to the apartment we stayed in – not only because it enabled us to really ‘live like locals’, but because we actually stayed at the award winning, 8 Tallet.

Since 2009 I’ve watched many a BBC arts programme featuring the development and interviews with its very talented designer Bjarke Ingels. Little did I think that one day I’d be staying there.

Getting ready for our Copenhagen holiday

15th August 2017

So this time next week we’ll be on holiday, and you’ve guessed it we’re heading to Copenhagen, again.

When I don’t think about how much I’ve already spent on ‘essentials’, the amount of ironing I’ve still to do, or how I’m going to keep a toddler entertained in the car/airport/on the plane then I’m getting rather excited.

Welcome to my Nordic home

15th August 2017

Seeing as we’re still at the getting to know each other stage I thought I’d give you a quick tour of my home. Not only does it give me the chance to show you guys around, but also provides a little snapshot of my personal taste and Nordic style credentials too.

Ok, let’s do this

12th August 2017

I’ve been ‘pretending’ to write a blog in my head for years now, dreaming up ideas, taking random photos and reading squillions of other people’s posts but I’ve never actually written anything. Why? Because I’m scared.

My husband is probably sick of me going on about it, and to be honest, I’m actually getting on my own nerves a bit now too – so here goes.
